Female SCART to BNC adapter breakout cable plus built in sync separator LM1881.
To enable the use of RGB games consoles and RGB computers on Sony PVM monitors which have BNC inputs for RGB and Sync (Not compatible with sync on green). Also not compatible with the Sony PVM2030 monitor which use a 25pin d-sub input referred to as the CMPTR connector. For this and other PVM monitors which use the 25pin d-sub input you will need a female SCART to 25 way connector.
This adapter cable converts "sync over composite video" into a composite sync (CSYNC) signal using a built in sync stripper circuit called an LM1881. A composite sync signal eradicates timing problems often experienced with old gaming machines. Please see the SCART cable power requirements below to enable the video sync separator to operate. This cable is also available without the sync stripper here. This cable benefits from being screened to minimise electrical interference and all ground pins are connected inside the SCART to avoid compatibility issues.
This adapter cable is mandatory for Sony monitors PVM 2950G and PVM 2950QM. And also NEC Multisync 4PG & XM29 Plus, however, it will also work on all other Sony PVM monitors which accept separate R-G-B and sync BNC inputs. For all those CSYNC purists out there! Please check out our Professional RGB monitor compatibility list to see some of our customers monitor/games consoles setups.
