Level up with a PACKAPUNCH PRO RGB SCART! This cable supplies an RGB video signal and stereo sound from your RGB modified NES, Sega Game Gear, Philips CDi, Atari 2600, Colecovision, Intellivision and Panasonic 3DO. And is also compatible with the HAS Supergun. This cable is screened to minimise external interference and cable crosstalk between signals. This is achieved by using our new PACKAPUNCH cable which has individually shielded wires for RED, GREEN, BLUE, SYNC, audio left and right and also the DC voltage line which is used for RGB selection on your video receiving equipment. For RGB modification boards for the NES, 2600 and Sega Game Gear see Tim Worthington's Website for details.
This cable can be supplied as a passive sync cable, which simple sends whatever sync source is outputted from the console, be it sync over composite video (CVBS), sync on luma, or composite sync (CSYNC). However, if your console only outputs sync over composite video or sync on luma and you need a CSYNC cable then please select (CSYNC) built in LM1881 from the options. This bespoke SCART circuit board has a built in sync separator circuit called an LM1881 and is attenuated with a 470 ohm resistor on the output. You may want to consider using a CSYNC cable for use on an Extron Matrix switch which requires a CSYNC signal to function.
This cable is wired using the following pin assignment. Wired to the following Specs:
8 Pin miniDIN plug (looking into back of connector)
8 7 6
5 4 3
Shell = GND
Pin 8 = RED
Pin 7 = GREEN
PIN 6 = BLUE
PIN 5 = +5 Volts
PIN 4 = GND
PIN 3 = SYNC
PIN 2 = Audio Left
PIN 1 = Audio Right
Why upgrade to a PACKAPUNCH cable?:
- Protects against external magnetic interference.
- Protects against crosstalk between individual signals inside the cable, so no need to run external audio cables.
- Available in various lengths.
- No Tuning required, just plug and play.
- True RGB video & stereo sound.
- Constructed from custom screened cable especially made for Retro Gaming Cables.
- Fully wired/ grounded SCART plug using a custom Printed Circuit Board.
- Custom over-moulded MultiAV plug with integrated strain relief, manufactured in-house using injection-mould machine.
Need to breakout audio from your SCART cable? Check out this in-line adapter which extracts audio whilst maintaining the audio through the SCART cable.
